Pastor

Will McCabe

Our pastor was ordained in the EPC in 2022 and served his first church as an Associate Pastor in Buffalo, NY. What drove Will to ministry was his love for people and his strong desire for them to know the love of Christ and the comfort that only God can provide. While some pastors were excited to do baptisms and weddings, Will was greatly encouraged to become a pastor in order to help with visitations and funerals because, "that's when people need to hear the gospel the most." Will believes strongly while first & foremost a pastor is a preacher who delivers the Gospel through preaching and teaching, he is to also be a shepherd and a comforter. A pastor shares the Gospel and strengthens the faith of others by the way he guides, loves and counsels.

Will married Cassandra (Steele) in July 2025. They love watching sci-fi shows, exercising, cooking, and reading. Cassandra has been an elementary teacher for 5 years and has a Masters degree in education, so she loves to discuss class kids books and stay up-to-date on what kids are reading. Will frequently has theology books to recommend regardless of the topic, with some of his favorite theologians/pastors being Charles Spurgeon, Richard Baxter, Michael Horton, Kevin DeYoung and John Piper. Some of his favorite books he's read in the past few years include Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices by Thomas Brooks, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi, Depression, Anxiety and the Christian Life by Michael Lundy & Richard Baxter, and The Steadfast Love of the Lord by Sam Storms. He also loves the teachings of Ray VanderLaan whose videos he grew up watching since he was a child when his Dad would prepare Adult Sunday School lessons for many years.

Will and Cassandra are incredibly excited to be at Oakhill Church and to work with the congregation in worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and ensuring that we both know who we worship and why we worship him, all so we can share who he is with those around us.
